Cecil R. Braught marr. ( and divorced) Katherine---. Although he died at Lemmon, SD he's buried at Mitchell, SD, according to family reports. On the web Jul 2000 I saw an article about a copyrighted 1998 Adams Co., ND 1917 plat map index listing Braught, C.R with property at 129N 92W 35 and Cecil Braught land at 130N 92W 35 (lands probably adjacent). Although this could have been an investment and he did not live there; it suggests that he was perhaps there in 1917. Need to check death and burial data (consider that Plankinton, Aurora, SD could be a third option). The US Bur. of Land Mngmt. records show that Cecil R. Braught filed for five land patents of Perkins County, SD from 1909 to 1912. It appears that 1st cousin, Cortes Braught stimulated the claims for SD land in Perkins and Aurora Counties for Cecil. David Sr. and Cecil's father,David E. (Jr.), between 1889 and1913 also filed claims in Aurora and/or Perkins Counties, SD. Althougth I am not yet sure if David Sr. ever lived there for any extended time, we know that the others did. Cecil and David E. were the family who stayed longest and died there.

Cecil R. should have WWI Draft Registration data.
