Cathrine Berry SPEARS was b. 8oct1805 at Glasgow (IGI). This could be Elizabeth Spears nee Porteous, her dau Katherine and grandson George Thomson: in 1841 Elisabeth Spears (1763 outside county), Katherine Spears (1806 Lanarkshire), George Thomson (1829 Lanarkshire), Elisabeth Mowberry (1816 outside county), all independent, were at 4 St. Georges Rd., Barony (census); later the name Mowbray was used as a middle name in the family. Presumably this Cathrine: In 1881 Katherine K. Spears (1806 Glasgow, unm, annuitant) was at 68 St. Georges Rd., Glasgow (census, LDS); in ancestry.com census the name was Katherine B. Spears. Scottish archives have the will of Katharine Berry Spears (d. 19sep1887 Glasgow), 68 St. Georges Rd., Glasgow (scotlandspeople).
