He married secondly, in 1774, Mrs. Anna Catherine SHELL, widow of Martin Shell, senior, and daughter of Adam DIFFENBACH of Tulpehocken, Berks county, Pa.; b. December 27, 1739; d. October 17, 1817; buried by the side of her second husband."
