Need to check county records re Catherine's birth date and place. US Census 1850 says born in Ohio.

According to the Gantz genealogy compiled by Caroline Kay Girkin Bleuer (2001) Eleanor Neal and Thomas Brenton, great grandchildren of Thomas and Richard Gantz, Catherine died shortly after childbirth. Both George and Thomas were raised and education in Baltimore by Catherine's parent. George stayed in the Baltimore area, while Thomas and his father Jacob moved to Owen Co., IN in 1865. Jacob had moved to Ohio in 1802.

Catherine may have been born in Maryland, perhaps in Baltimore?
