Mrs. Michael Duffy died in Detroit, MI
The body of Mrs. Michael Duffy arrived here Friday for interment at St. Mary's cemetery. Mrs. Duffy passed away on March 4th, at the home of her daugher, Mrs. HF Andreas at Detroit, MI after a long illness. Mrs. Duffy was born at Brock, Ontario Canada, 79 years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Duffy moved to Spirit Lake from Des Moines 40 years ago and lived for many years on the Polk farm. After the death of Mr. Duffy in 1913, she lived with her daughter in Detroit.
She leaves one brother, M. Crosby and one sister, Ellen Swannick, and four daughters, Mrs. Anna Andreas, Margaret Peterson, Nellie Glahn and Mabel Williams, all of whom reside in Detroit. Mary Francis Hauman of Wayne, Michigan passed away Jan. 9th of this year, leaving her husband and one son.
