Notes on Bell County, Texas" by Michael Wayne and Nancy GraffKelsey: Mrs. Katherine Ethredge died at the age of 89 at the residenceof her granddaughter, Mrs. Tress McKinley, 602 South Thirteenthstreet on 5 February 1923. She was visiting in Temple from herhome in Alexandria, Louisiana. Surviving her were two sons, B.H.Ethredge of Alexander, Louisiana, O.A. Ethredge of Haynesville,Louisiana and four grandchildren, Mrs. Tress McKinley and Mrs.Katie Lewellen of Temple and Mrs. J.W. Montgomery of Willmore,Kentucky and Dennis McKinley and Monte McKinley of Temple.Burial was at Hillcrest in Temple.
