We know very little about her. Her name appears on baptismal records as Catherina 'Lyn Vrou', where every female on that church baptismal record is listed as 'Lyn Vrou'. It has been suggested that perhaps this was a butchered form of old German or Dutch which means, 'His Woman' or 'His Wife'. She is also listed in the WILL of Jacob.
