Her year and place of birth are uncertain. One source says she was born in Germany, another in North Carolina after her family emigrated.

The Conrad Yoder monument states she is buried in the Old Baker Cemetary, off Highway 10, and there is no tombstone there.

She survived her husband and lived on the Yoder homestead until her children all married. She suffered a partial paralytic stroke in 1804 and went to live with her daughter, Catherine Yoder Baker, for the final six years of her life.
