Worked for Maxton Construction Co. and was a very successful business man and earned a lot of money. He did not inherit his fortune because Elsie J. Covell (1st wife) worked as a teacher to help him pay his way through college. After marriage, they went to Redlands CA, then Parker, AZ, and worked on Parker dam, then Tucumcari, NM. Then to Everett, PA for PA Hwy Commission and worked on Laurell Hill and Allegheny Tunnels on the PA Turnpike til 1941. Then to St. Lucia during war to fortify Island for protection of Panama Canal. Then to FL, then Dayton, OH, then Hastings, Neb., then Oakridge, TN, employed by Maxon Constr. Co. as foreman for construction of several government buildings for atomic plant there. Then back to Dayton, then CA, then Conn. in 1960, to Tucson, Ariz. and did consulting. After 2nd marriage, to Jean, worked in Japan, travelled to Russia and Mexico.

Uncle Bud's will set up a trust fund for Jean at 1st Interstate Bank in Tucson and paid her $1,000 per month for her 10 remaining years. When she died, the balance of the trust fund was distributed to the children of Jesse Covell (Elsie Jerusha Covell's brother) and to Jeans daughter from her 1st marriage. Questions remain about the existence of a second trust fund that might have been set up by Uncle Bud, prior to his second marriage, to protect a portion of his estate from her after his death or in the event of divorce.

Reported birth place was Alsace Province, Germany, but Alsace is in France. Thus changed to simply Germany.
