He was also called Müller and Molitor. He was enrolled at the University of Wittenberg in winter term 1536 under the name "Gaspar Muller Werdensis" (from the diocese of Werdau) and graduated with a "Baccalaureus der Philosophie" on April 28th of 1538 as "Cspar Molitor Werdensis". After his Master's degree he worked as a teacher and was ordained the 19th of October 1547 in Wittenberg by Dr. Johann Bugenhagen, the famous friend and assistant of Luther, and assigned to the parish of "Krimitschaw". Still he is not included as one of the vicars of Crimmitschau, but kept the position of cantor, according to the Historia Myliana.
