DEAL 

 Carrie Alice Deal, 73, of 181 Greenville Road, Salisbury, Pa., died July
 8, 1997, at Meyersdale Manor Nursing Home.  Born May 21, 1924, in Greenville
 Township.  Daughter of the late John Milton and Alice Evora (Garlers) Deal.
 Preceded in death by brother, Harvey, and four sisters: Margaret Stevanus,
 Sadie Caton, Clara and Mabel Deal.  Survived by sister Lulu Setzer, La Vale,
 Md., and a number of nieces and nephews.  Member of St. John's United Church
 of Christ, Salisbury, and Salisbury Firemen's Auxiliary.  Was a retired
 machine operator for Flushing Shirt Factory, Grantsville, Md.  Friends will
 be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Newman Funeral Home,
 Inc., Salisbury, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m.  Thursday, with
 Rev. Raymond Brown officiating.  Interment Greenville Cemetery.
