OBITUARY :
MRS. CARRIE E. STOTTLEMYER, 72, died on Thursday morning, Jan. 1, at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Chauncey M. Crum, Woodsboro, with whom she has resided for the past several years.
She was the wife of John Leslie Stottlemyer, who pre-deceased her in 1973. Born in Centerville, Frederick County, on Nov. l 1903, she was a daughter of the late Thomas P. and Ida Hatfield Chipley.
She was a member of the Oak Hill Church of God, LeGore.
Besides her daughter, she is survived by one brother, Erman Chipley, Harney; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Bowers, Gettysburg, Pa.; Mrs. Leroy Horner, LeGore, and Mrs. Ray Lescalleet, Rocky Ridge, and one grandson, Jerry M. Crum, Woodsboro.
Friends may call at the Stauffer Funeral Home (formerly Barton-Stauffer), Walkersville, on Friday, Jan. 2 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The family will receive friends on Friday, Jan. 2, from 2p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held from the funeral home at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3. Her pastor, Rev. Robert S. Easterday, assisted by her former pastor, Rev. Harry A. Angle, will officiate. Interment will be in Rocky Hill Cemetery, near Woodsboro.
