    MRS. SHANNON DEAD AT 76
    Mrs. Carrie Bresett Shannon widow of Myron Shannon died at 9 p.m. Sunday (Apr. 6, 1952) at the Hepburn Hospital where she had been rushed three hours earlier with a cerebral hemorrhage.
    Mrs. Shannon was born in Ogdensburg on Dec. 4, 1875, the daughter of Joseph and Mary Ann Simons Bresett. She was educated in Ogdensburg schools, was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church.
    She is survived by four sons, Bernard of Buffalo, and Harrold, Sidney and Gerald of Ogdensburg; three daughters, Miss Dorothy Shannon of Gouverneur and Mrs. Glennie Woods and Mrs. Floyd (Eunice) Trimm, both of Ogdensburg; a brother, Frank and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Maville, both of Ogdensburg.
    Also surviving are 25 grandchildren. Mr. Bresett died on Jan. 13, 1954. Another son, Efford died several years ago.
    Mrs. Shannon's body was taken to the Nichols Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements will be announced later.

    Surviving are four sons, Bernard, Harold, Sidney and Gerald; three daughters, Miss Dorothy Shannon, Mrs. Glennie Woods and Mrs. Eunice Trimm; a brother, Frank and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Maville. Services Thursday at 2 p.m. at the home of her son at 600 Irwin St., the Rev. John McCarthy, curate of St. John's Church, officiating. Interment in the White Church Cemetery, Lisbon. Arrangements by the Nichols Funeral Home.
