MYRON SHANNON, LIFE RESIDENT, DIES AT HEPBURN
Myron Shannon, 81, a native of Ogdensburg, died at about 3:30 a.m. today (Jan.12, 1951) at the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital where he had been admitted just a short time before. Mr. Shannon, who had been ill with a heart ailment, had returned to his home, 600 Irvin St., two days ago after being a patient at the hospital for five days while receiving treatment. He was stricken seriously ill again early this morning and was rushed to the hospital where he died.
Born in Ogdensburg Aug. 13, 1869, he was a son of the late Thomas and Elizah Ann Langdon Shannon. After completing his education in the local schools, he took up carpentry in which work he was engaged all his life.
For 40 years, Mr. Shannon was employed by the Proctor Manufacturing Co. in this city.
At the Presbyterian Church on March 27, 1897, he married the former Miss Carrie Bressett, the ceremony having been performed by the late Dr. Miller, former pastor.
Mr. Shannon was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church parish.
Surviving his death, besides his widow, are four sons, Harold W., Gerald L. and Sidney Shannon, all of Ogdensburg; Bernard N. Buffalo; three daughters, Mrs. John (Dorothy) Casino, Oswego; Mrs. Isaac (Glennie) Woods, Mrs. Floyd (Eunice) Trimm, both of Ogdensburg. Another son, Efford, died a number of years ago.
Also surviving Mr. Shannon's death are 26 grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Kit Terla of Hull, Que.; several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the Nichols Funeral Home from where it will be taken late this afternoon to the Shannon home, 600 Irvin St.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Canon George A. Palmer, rector of St. John's Church, officiating. Burial will be made in the White Church Cemetery, Lison.

FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MYRON SHANNON CONDUCTED TODAY
Funeral services for Myron Shannon, 81, native of Ogdensburg, who died at the A. Barton Hepburn Hospital Friday, wee held at his home, 600 Irvin St., at 10 a.m. today.
Canon George A. Palmer, record of St. John's Church, officiated at the last rites. the body was placed in the White Church Cemetery vault, Lisbon to await burial in the Spring.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Glad, Leo Lazorre, Thomas Healey, Percy Bressett, Murray Bressett and Joseph Touron.
