Carolyn B. Crumrine Hogan, 85, of Indiana died Saturday, Jan. 10, 2004, at Beacon Ridge Nursing Home. A daughter of Lindsay Earl and Sarah Elizabeth Potts Richardson, she was born Aug. 25, 1918, in Rochester Mills. Mrs. Hogan lived most of her life in Indiana County, where she was a member of Shelocta Presbyterian Church. She worked for Dairy Dell, Campus Sportswear and Troutmans, all in Indiana, and was the proprietor of Carolyn's Beauty Shop in Harbor Creek. She belonged to Rainbow- Diamond Glass Club, and she enjoyed buying and selling collectibles. She loved hunting, fishing and camping in Potter County, where her family had a camp. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Lee Zelasko and her husband, Al, of New Carlisle, Ind.; one son, Wiiliam H. Crumrine Jr. of Erie, and a stepson, David Hogan and his wife, Micki, of Gahanna, Ohio; two brothers, John Craig Richardson and his wife, Irene, of Elderton and Donald Ray Richardson and his wife. Rose, of Erie; two sisters, Sarah Ruth Lynch of Indiana and Doris Marie Robertson and her husband, Earl, of Elderton; four grandchildren; three step- grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law. Pat Richardson of Harbor Creek; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James H. Hogan; her brothers: Rubin Oscar, Edward Earl and Biaine Daniel Richardson; and her sisters: Mildred Eleanor Thomas, Sylvia Jane McLauglin and Lucille Elizabeth Kelley.
