Four year old Carolineand her infant brother, Carl, with their parents, Ludwig (age 32) and Wilhelmine (age 30) Krueger, migrated from Germany to the United States in 1870. Sailing on a ship called "Patriot", from Bremen, Germany, they arrived in New Orleans June 10, 1870. Ludwig, a farmer, named "Missouri" as the family's final destination.
