Burgoyne Book: Olof hadn't joined the Church but he was being urged by his brother, Carl Andersson, who lived in the States, to come for better business opportunities. When the group arrived in America they traveled by train across the continent to Junction City, Kansas. Uncle Carl Andersson met the train and took them by wagon to his home at New Gotland, now Concordia. It took 3 days to get there. they all moved in with Uncle Carl and his wife in their dugout. Uncle Carl never joined the Church but stayed in Kansas. He lost all of his descendants, also his brother, Anders Anderson, and one other brother and two sisters. |
