Our dear wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Camilla June Goodwin Meckley, born June 10, 1928 in Warren, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2005.
Camilla married Elwood Henry Meckley, Sr. on June 29, 1946 in Fairfax, Virginia and later solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple on June 29, 1961.
Camilla was very involved in church, family, and friends. She held many church callings and none she loved more than Compassionate Service Leader and also teaching the children.
Camilla was loved by all who knew her and we will all miss her.
Camilla is survived by her husband, Elwood H. Meckley; six children, Ella (Jerry) Reese, Carolyne (Terry-D) Galentine, Elwood Jr. (Karen) Meckley, Julia (Wally) Dominguez, Jay (Natalie) Meckley, and Cameron (Tami) Meckley; eighteen grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. in the West Jordan Fourth Ward Chapel, 1899 West 7600 South. A viewing will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road (1700 West), and one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery.
