"Funeral services for Calvin Hicks Jackson, 2339 W. Sherman, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, in Gene Roden's Sons Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Jackson died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born Dec. 11, 1897 in Blossom, a son of John and Elizabeth Underhill Jackson. He married Mable Jackson on Oct. 11, 1932. He was a Baptist and worked for Texas and Pacific Railroad for 46 years. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Douglas Jackson of Paris and Allen Jackson of Duncanville; two daughters, Minnie Clayton of Lancaster and Ann Steelman of Paris; He was preceded in death by one sister. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home." *On the same stone with Mabel M. Jackson.
