[From Axel Fassnacht 13 Jan 2006:] Aunt Cäcilie was a great cook. Her simple fish dishes were so great that I'm still using her recipes today. The fresh herrings, we also call them green herrings, are turned around in flour and then are roasted in bacon. They are served with potatoes and parsley. Particularly tasty were her Finkenwerder-sole.They were also roasted crispy. We weren't supposed to talk during the meal but to pick out the fish-bones very carefully. References
