Prewitt, Byrd, entered service 1776 in Campbell County, Virginia, in Virginia regiment; granted Pension age 75 in Fayette County, Kentucky, when wife [was] deceased & soldier resided with son-in-law unnamed; soldier resided there in 1830; he & wife had 10 children mentioned but not named; query letter in file in 1902 from great grandson George T. Prewitt, Washington, D.C. F-S35576, R1973.
