OBITUARY: Mr. Bynum L. Rich GIBSONVILLE — Mr. Bynum Lincoln Rich, 73, of 320 Brightwood Church Road, died at 5:50 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 1999, at his home after three years of failing health and a critical illness of one week. He was the husband of Mrs.. Mollie Holyfield Rich, who survives, and the son of Mr. Phillip Monroe Rich and Mrs.. Maggie Allred Rich, both deceased. He was formerly employed by Greensboro Printing Co., retired from Cooper-Thomas Printers, and later worked for American Multimedia. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of Guiding Light Baptist Church. Survivors other than his wife of the home include three daughters, Mrs.. A.J. (Linda) House Jr.. of Swepsonville, Mrs.. Richard (Gayle) Silver of Burlington and Mrs.. Chris (Wanda) Baldwin of the home; two sons, Mr. Bynum Wayne Rich and Mr. Randy Lee Rich, both of Burlington; two sisters, Mrs.. Dermont (Dorothy) Chester of Graham and Mrs.. Viola Ely of Burlington; one brother, the Rev. Max W. Rich of Burlington; seven grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three great-stepgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Mr. Homer L. Rich and Mr. Walter “Dude” Rich. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Guiding Light Baptist Church by the Rev. Delton Agnor, pastor of Brightwood Christian Church, and the Rev. J.L. Franks, pastor of Kimesville Road Baptist Church. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park, Burlington, Alamance County, North Carolina. The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening and at other times at the home.
