    Bro. Bryant Bateman was born in Georgia in about 1833. on 12 Jan 1858 he married Miss Martha Brantley. Just one year later he moved to Washington Parish, Louisiana. Sometime in 1876 he joined the Baptist Church at Franklinton, where he remained a member until his death on 6 May 1904.
