Bruce W. Pells TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE - Bruce W. Pells, 50, a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, April 2, 2004 at St. Francis Hospital. Mr. Pells was a supervisor at Verizon and was also the Deputy Supervisor of the Town of Poughkeepsie. He was the Town of Poughkeepsie's Third Ward Councilman for eight years. Mr. Pells was a member Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie. He was also a member of the Poughkeepsie Elks BPOE #275 and was an associate member of the Rochdale Fire Department. Born in Poughkeepsie on July 1, 1953, he was the son of Bruce E. and Mary Jane Case Pells. He was a graduate of Arlington High School. On Feb. 14, 1983 at the Hyde Park Reformed Church, he married Karen A. Lintel. Mrs. Pells survives at home. In addition to his wife, Karen, he is survived by his father of Poughkeepsie; sons, Bruce and Brandon Pells of Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Melanie Pells of Georgia, John and Sharon Warman of Poughkeepsie, and David and Tiffany Warman of Arizona; daughters and sons-in-law, Mark and Deidre Karn of Poughkeepsie, and Chip and Jen Davis of Poughkeepsie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Garry and Christy Pells of California, Mark and Donna Pells of Marlboro, and Jeff and Michelle Pells of Poughkeepsie; sisters, Kathleen Mulcahey of New Paltz, and Patricia Magurno of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Brittany Pells, Jalen Pells, Tyler Pells, Will Pells, Kimberly Pells, Kacie Pells, Libby, Patrick and Daniel Warman, Lauren and Stephanie Karn, Corey Phillips, Cortney, Justin, and Adam Davis; and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours are 4-8 p.m., Tuesday, April 6, at Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home Inc., 371 Hooker Avenue, Poughkeepsie. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, at Holy Trinity Church, Poughkeepsie. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie.
