Boyd was found on the 1930 Census Dist. 10, Austin, Travis Co., Texas. He was working at the State Hospital, was 26 years old and had been married at age 21. No wife or family living at the institution. He and both parents were born in Texas.

Boyd was a surviving brother in Louis R. Jackson's 1976 obituary.

SURVIVORS: Wife, Lenora Jackson of Rockdale; son, Robert Jackson of Rockdale; step-son, August Wenzel of Seguin; daughter, Gloria Barding of Jefferson, MO.; step-daughter, Edna Fay Dietrich of Waco; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
