Blanche Marie Amos, 59, of 116 South Pine Street, Ellsworth, died unexpectedly at 12:32 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 1983, in Mon Valley Hospital.
She was born June 29, 1924, in Bellsville, Michigan, the daughter of James B. and Blanche Wright Iams. She was Protestant.
She had been a resident of Ellsworth for 15 years. She was employed as a barmaid at the Polish Club in Bentleyville.
She was a member of the Eagles Auxilary No. 1809 and the Polish Club Auxiliary, both of Bentleyville.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary Lee Ravitch of Chicago, Ill., Mrs. Barr (Mary Lou) Matay of Bentleyville R.D.1 and Mrs. Jeffrey (Audrey) Schaffer of West Middlesex; four sons, Thomas E. Barker of Ponca City Okla., Robert J. Barker of Wichita, Kansas, Raymond G. Doris of Sharon and Lloyd K. Amos at home; two step-children, Charles Amos of California state and Mrs. Howard (Debra) Dean of Scenery Hill; twin brother, Floyd Iams of Wheeling, W. Va., and Lloyd Iams of Bradenton, Fla.; 15 grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Her husband, James M. Amos, died May 17, 1968. Also deceased are one stepson, Richard Amos; one brother, Jack Iams; and two sisters, Zelma Berryman and Orilla Engle.
