Beulah V. “Cokie” Elliott, 88, of Columbus, passed away in her sleep at 5:40 a.m. on Sunday, January 9, 2005 at Village of Westerville Nursing Center. A loving, compassionate and professional staff of the Nursing Center and Heartland Hospice cared for her. Born January 22, 1916 in Viola, West Virginia, daughter of Glada and Alverna Poland Crumrine. She was a resident of Beallsville, Pennsylvania prior to moving to Columbus, Ohio in 1997 where she could be closer to her family. Beulah was a LPN at the Washington General Hospital in Washington, Pennsylvania for years and ended her career working as nurse for a team of urologists in Washington. Beulah was preceded in death by her first husband and father to her daughters Asa L. Bolyard and second husband Alfred O. Elliott, brothers Bernard Crumrine, Donald Crumrine, baby sister Agnes, two other infant brothers, 2 nephews and one niece. Beulah served as District Deputy President of the Lady Schenley Rebekah Assembly of Pennsylvania (I.O.O.F.) Lodge No. 121 in Washington County Western District. She was a member of the Pennsylvania National Grange and a 60 year member of the Beallsville Presbyterian Church where she held many offices, the last being an Elder. She is survived by her eldest daughter, Evelyn Faye (Nelson) Miles of Columbus; youngest daughter, Sandra Walker of Columbus; granddaughters, Jodi (Tom) Harris of Westerville and Marcia Miles of Upper Albany and Kimberly Snell; brother, Ernest (Barbara) Crumrine of Maryland.
