State College, Pennsylvania - Betty Jean Noll Korman, 91, of State College, passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021. Betty was born on January 16, 1930 the only child of the late Hoover W. and Gertrude Loughner Noll of Pleasant Gap and Spring Mills.
On October 7, 1948, she married John A. (Jack) Korman of State College at the Pleasant Gap Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband. Betty is survived by her two sons, Jay and his wife Sharon of Spring Mills, and Kris and his wife Laurie of State College; two sets of grandtwins, Jared Korman, Lindsey (Jesse) Torba, Ashley Korman and Andrew Korman (Kelly Collins) and one great-granddaughter Eliana Torba. Betty was a graduate of Bellefonte High School class of 1947. She also attended Penn State and The Real Estate Institute of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg. For many years, she was employed by the Penn State Alumni Association and the University Department of Public Information. For nearly twenty years, she was engaged in real estate sales and property management as an Associate Broker. After retiring in 1986, she was a tour escort for Mansun Tours. She enjoyed traveling, and playing bridge. Two of the groups were formed by the Lemont Women's Club and one group met for over fifty years. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at their summer home in rural Spring Mills.
Family and friends will be received on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at The Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc. 201 Spring St., Milesburg from 6 PM – 7 PM.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, December 20, 2021 at Centre County Memorial Park, State College with Pastor Jay Saldana officiating.
