Bessie Irene Dotson, 104, passed away May 5, 2021 while in the loving care of her daughter and granddaughter. Bessie was born February 7, 1917 to James Ernest Simpson and Grace lanetta (Crumrine) Simpson in Coffeeville, Kan. Bessie met and married David Raymon Dotson (also from Kansas) in the early 1940's in Newburg, Ore. They had three children. They moved to Klamath Falls in 1952. Bessie was a Girl Scout leader when her daughters were active in scouts and she worked at the A & W until she retired. Bessie attended the First Church of God. After her husband passed away she moved to Ventura, Calif., to live with her youngest daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers; and a sister. She is survived by her children Margarett Anne Rodgers, Donald Raymon Dotson, Norma Marie Downey; eight grandchildren; and great-grandchildren. Bessie has been lovingly laid to rest with her family in Klamath Falls. There will be no services at this time.
