Lucy and Bertrand had no children. After Lucy died (age 38), he married Elva Rodgers and they had a child. Even after Lucy died, Bertrand Heald remained attached to the Comstock family and was known as Uncle Marcellus to all the kids of the next two generations. Marcella Comstock was named for him.
