    Bernice L. Kifer, 78, of Jeannette, died Tuesday, June 29, 1993, in her home. She was born Aug 15, 1914, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late Howard and Seville Durst Smail. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Jeannette, and the Womens Missionary Society of the church. She is survived by her husband, John P. Kifer, one son, Dean C. Kifer of Jeannette; two daughters, Mrs. DeJohn (Marlene) Tilson of Greensburg and Mrs. Fred (Charlene) Berlin of Irwin RD6; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received in the Mason-Gelder Funeral Home, Inc., 201 N. First St., Jeannette, Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Martin R. Koss officiating. Interment will follow in Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont. The family suggests memorial donations to Westmoreland Hospice, Greensburg, Pa.
