"Benjamin was born along the James River when his father was about 30 years of age. The family soon moved to the Boones Mill area in Western Virginia. Like his father before, he had a very large family, some 15 children with several wives. Between his father and himself, a goodly number of the 75 families in Franklin County by the name of Wray can claim them as ancestors."S1
