Jeannette R. Townsend August 3, 1913 - March 23, 2001 HUBBARD Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard for Mrs. Jeannette R. Townsend, 87 of 34573 State Highway 408, Townville, PA, formerly of West Liberty St, Hubbard who died Friday morning at her home. She was born August 3, 1913, in Orange, OH, a daughter of Floyd and Pearl Jones Chittle and lived in Hubbard from 1941 until she moved to Townville in 1998. Mrs. Townsend, a homemaker, was a member of the Free Gospel Church, Youngstown, where she was a Sunday School teacher for many years. She and her late husband were foster parents for over 50 children. She was a charter member of TOPS in Hubbard and enjoyed crocheting afghans. Her husband, Benjamin F. Townsend, whom she married June 12, 1937, died March 31, 1997. She leaves two sons, Robert Townsend of Youngstown and James Townsend of Townville, PA; a daughter, Benita Streb of Hubbard; a brother, George Chittle of Burton, OH; a sister, Vivian Koebel of Hubbard; 7 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. A sister, Olive Dobay and a brother Blanchard Chittle are deceased. Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard on Sunday, 5 to 7 PM.
