was a furrier in the District of Columbia; birth, marriage and death dates taken from other researchers; it is interesting that there are several obituaries for his wife and daughter, both Irene, but nothing for Benjamin. He is, however, listed on the FindAGrave website at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Chapel Valley Lot 618 (Stinemetz Circle) with the rest of his family

2010-conversation with Carolyn Bains-"I remember my grandma having furs when we were growing up. She even made a stole for one of my dolls from a piece of real fur. She made the most wonderful doll clothes. I still have them. Ben Stinemetz must have made hats as well as one was made for President Harrison (I may be remembering which president incorrectly). I have a copy of a thank you note written by the president to my 2nd great grandfather."
