According to my Father William M.Lyon: subject may have been raised at the death of his mother by an unmarried aunt of unknown parentage Anna Belle Monroe from Louiville Kentucky. Findings of the KY Railroad commissioners 1890 following complaints by the users: There is reason for complaint in the lack of depot buildings for the accommodation of passengers at Columbus. Heretofore passengers have had shelter and fire in a small room by the sufferance of the company’s agent (p.s. i.e. Benjamin Montgomery Monroe).
