Funeral services for Benjamin "Benjie" Lestina, 46, of Oelwein, Iowa, were held at 11:00 am Friday, December 4, 1987, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oelwein, with Rev. James Goedken officiating. Burial was at Woodlawn Cemetery, Oelwein.

Benjamin 'Benjie" Lestina was born August 6, 1941, to Benjamin A. and Agnes Lotza Lestina in rural Monona. He was united in marriage September 13, 1960, to Virginna Kadlec at Monona. He was co-owner and operator of the T&L Country Feed in Arlington, Iowa. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and had lived in Oelwein since 1965. He died Tuesday, December 1, 1987, at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein. Brant-Kerns-Jamison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors are his wife Ginna of Oelwein; one son, Scott Lestina of Phoenix, Arizona, one daughter, Kim Lestina of St. Louis, MO; his mother Agnes Lestina of Monona, and 2 brothers, Donald Lestina and Wayne Lestina, both of Monona.
