  18. "AGED MAN HURT BY AUTO - W. H. Smith Struck by Touring Car at Broad andHigh Street's - Head Is Cut - A severe cut in the back of his head wassustained by W. H. Smith, aged 60, of 266 East Cherry Street, who wasrun down by an automobile at Broad and High Street about 2 o'clockyesterday afternoon. Smith, who was a Street Railway TrackMan, wasknocked over by the touring car, belonging to Ben Krumm of 975 SouthHigh Street, and his head struck against the paving. He was assisted tothe Railway Company's office in High Street near Broad and receivedmedical attention after which he was taken home in a cab. Although thecity ambulance reached his side Smith preferred not to ride in it. Theman's injury in itself is not serious but his age may prove a handicap."
