Death[1] 1927 Cause: drank carbolic acid to kill himself

When he was a young man, he was in a fight and was hit on the head with a billiard cue. This affected his mind. The family put him in the insane assylum. He was there for years and became a trustee. His brother, Melton, got him out and took him home to care for him. Ben drank carbolic acid to kill himself. He was found on a railroad track. The authorities found Amanda's (Melton's wife) address and wrote to her. She was a widow and had no money to bury him. Melton had died the year before.
