    If Benjamin was an ag lab like his supposed son, George, he could easily have moved from village to village as a result of the annual farm hiring arrangements that were common in those days.
    The villages you name (including Bradford Abbas) are all within 4 miles of Yeovil and of each other. It would take something like a will to prove who was George's father; rather unlikely to exist I think.
