"Banks, Benjamin, s. of John. He had land by gift of father John, 3 Jan. 1679, in Sasqua field, sometime granted to Anthony Beers. Called son of John, he m. at Fairfield, 29 June 1679, Elizabeth Lyon, dau. of Richard. She m. (2) abt. 1695, William Rowlandson. Benjamin receipted 1 Mar. 1680 to mother-in-law Margaret Lyon for £40 due wife Elizabeth under will of her father Richard Lyon. Benjamin published warning, 25 July 1691, 'not to traffic or barter with my wife Elizabeth.' He purchased, 9 Feb. 1684 [1684/5], from his brothers John of Greenwich and Obadiah of Fairfield.
