From the The Civil War Diary of Hartwell Bolin Cox published in the June and Sept 1977 issues of the "Old Scyene" of the Dallas county Historical and Genealogical Society

"From hear we followed our command to Louisana crossing White River at Desarc 6 or 7 miles southwest of Desarc, I was taken sick and being accompanyed by my too brothers and B. Johnston. I and Dave stept at one house while James and Johnston each stopt at a differant house. While stopt brother Dave got sick and I had to wait on him. We stopt here on the 14th of June and left on the 21st."

Note: from the rest of this diary we gather that this passage starts about 11 June 1863 as Company B leaves "Elmors" , Arkansas-Robert Bennett 17 Jun 2008
