       1758, enlisted during French & Indian War, 29 May 1758, in Major Joseph  Spencer's  3rd Co., 2nd Conn. Regt; discharged 18 Nov. 1758 (Spencer from East Haddam)

       1789 Barnabas Phelps buys 50 acres being the west half of lot #34 in 2nd  Division  Cheshire Co., NH for 40 pounds from John Way, 21 May 1789
       1790 Barnabas on census, Lempster, Cheshire Co., NH with 2 males over 16, 4  males under 16 and 4 females( First Census of the U.S., 1790 - New Hampshire, Chesire County, Page 19--genealogy.com)
       1791 Barnabas buys 20 acres NE corner of lot #35 in 2nd Div. containing  house & barn

       1794 15 Dec. inventory taken on Barnabas's estate shows 50 acres of land; 60  pounds money; animals, grain, tools and firniture totaling 116 pounds, 19 shillings  and 5 pence (probate rec.)
       1795 4 Feb. 1795, Admin sells west half of lot #34, 2nd Div., Lempster, NH & lot  #35, 2nd Div. except for what assigned to widow (2/3 of house & barn & privilege to  live there) to Nathan Willey of Goshen for $106.50 (probate rec.)
       1803 9 May 1803 final settlement on Barnabas Phelps' estate (probate rec.)
