 However, IGI records also show his marriage to Barbara Wheeler, daughter of Joseph Wheeler and Margaret Ishmael in 1830.
 
 In the 1880 census for Bourbon, Marshall Co., Indiana, Barbara Bowen is 67 PA 'keeping house', listed with 'weakness' under disability, with son Charley 15 IN, and servant Mary (Bonduce) 20 from IL. Sons Solomon (with family) and Jess (alone), and [daughter?] Jennie 'Nidig' (husband Abram) are also listed in Bourbon.
