Likely related to Casper Veregge, from Osnabruggen who joined the service of the Dutch East India Company as a soldier with Chamber Amsterdam on 19 January 1710, departing from Amsterdam on the ship "Huis te Nieuwburg", arriving at the Cape of Good Hope on 17 May 1710 [118 days at sea]; departing on the same ship "Huis te Nieuwburg" on 23 June 1710, and arriving 8 September 1710 in Batavia, East India [77 days at sea]. Casper Veregge remained in East India until 9 December 1730, when he departed Batavia, East India on the ship "Slot ter Hoge", arriving at the Cape of Good Hope on 2 March 1731 [83 days at sea], departing on the same ship "Slot ter Hoge" on 11 April 1731, and arriving back in the Netherlands on 30 July 1731 [110 days at sea].
