    I give and bequeath to my brother Noah Barclift two negro women Joan and Moll, all so two yoke of oxen, all so all my hogs, all so all my horses that is not all ready given, all so all my sheep, all so all my plantation tools, all so all my cattle, all so all my household furniture, all so my will and desire is that my brother Noah Barclift shall have all my whole estate that is not all ready giving and to pay all my just debts therefore I do nominate and appoint my brother Noah Barclift and Thomay Roberson, Executives.

    To this my last will and testament as witness my Hand and Seal this fifthteenth day of May 1779.

    To the Worshipful County Court of Pleas and Quarter for the County of Perquimans:
    I, Mary Williams, widow of Tulle Williams, dec'd, and sister of Asa Barclift, dec'd, do hereby renounce my right as Administrator with the will annexed of Asa Barclift, and take the liberty of recommending to the court for such appointment as Edmund Blount who will be perfectly agreeable to me.

    [Part of Asa's estate was sold at public venue on the 25th and 26th days of April 1785. The remaining part of the estate came into the possession of Edmund Blount, his Administrator. It amounted to 543 lbs, 0 shilling, 1 pence. Asa named his brother Noah and Thomas Robertson as Executors, but Noah was already dead and Robertson perhaps also. The April Court granted the Administration to Edmund Blount with the copy of the will annexed. Text: J. Harvey, Clerk]
