The marriage record in Palmer shows Arthur McNitt marrying Jane Quinton in 1765. Unfortunatley the original record does not appear to be viewable online so all we have is the transcription given in the published records.

From Temple's History of Palmer:

p. 527: Jean, d/o Duncan Quinton, b. 16 Jun 1748, m. Arthur McNitt.

p. 511: No Arthur listed in the family of Barnard McNitt.

p. 161: Arthur McNall is listed having a seat in the Church in 1764, but no coverage is given of the McNall family.

There is no other evidence that an Arthur McNitt existed and speculated birthdates do not fit well into the family of Barnard McNitt. There is, however, evidence that an Arthur Mcnall existed, and in 1767, Vol. 7, p. 715 Arthur McNall of Palmer and wife Jane sell land.

Both Arthur, and Joseph, who is also often mistakenly inserted into the Barnard McNitt family, appear to come from Connecticut (see here), and their father appears to be buried in Palmer (here).
