FOURTH GENERATION 103. Arthur Kirkpatrick was born on 22 Apr 1792 in Chester Co., South Carolina. He died on 27 Apr 1861 in York Co., South Carolina. Arthur Kirkpatrick was born 22 April 1792 in Chester County, South Caro lina. He died 27 April 1861 in York County, and is buried in Bullock's C reek Presbyterian Church Cemetery there.

Arthur was drafted as a private in the War of 1812 into Captain James B rannon's Company of South Carolina Militia. He entered service about 1 O ctober 1814 and marched to the city of Charleston, South Carolina, wher e he served for five months until mustered out on 3 March 1815. He late r received two bounty land warrants for his service.

Arthur was twice married. The name of his first wife is unknown. After h is first wife's death, he married Mary Black on 20 January 1848. Mary d ied on 6 Jul 1904.
