"Archie Reid Service continued to work the old Service farmstead at Lot 4, Concession 7, Nassagaweya until his retirement in 1967. Archie was very active in the community. He served as a member of the Nassagaweya Township Commission for 16 years and on the first Milton Hospital Board."

"CROZIER-SERVICE On Wednesday, at the Boston Manse, the marriage took place of Catherine Jean Crozier, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Crozier, of Milton to Archie Reid Service, son of Mrs. and the late Mrs. James Service, Nassagewaya township. Rev. Horace Kaye officiated. The bride looked charming in a light blue swagger suit with matching accessories and carried a bouquet of ophelia roses. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home. The couple left on a motor trip to Detroit. On their return will reside in Nassagaweya."

Service, Archie Reid & Mrs., News , appeared in Canadian Champion, 23 May 1935, page 2, column 3 PRESENTATION The home of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas McBride, Nassagweya, was the scene of a very happy gathering on the evening of May 17th, when the neighbours tendered a reception and presentation to Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Service. The following address was read by Mr. Roy Currie:

To Mr. and Mrs. Service: We, your friends and neighbours, have gathered here to-night to express our sincere congratulations and to welcome you, Mrs. Service, into our midst. To you, Mr. Service, we wish to show the esteem in which you are held. You have always been a useful member of the community and have always been ready to support and help any worthy cause. As a slight token of our friendship for you we request you to accept these gifts.

We also pray that God may bless your home with health and prosperity and that your married life may be long and happy.

Mr. Service responded in his usual pleasant and efficient manner. The evening was spent in cards and dancing.
