Archie and Eva have been married two years and have no children. Their next door neighbors are brother-in-law and sister William and Liza Palen; his uncle and aunt John and Maggie Keeler are two doors down.

In 1877, Thomas Alva Edison stunned witnesses by shouting "Mary Had a Little Lamb!" into the recording funnel of his experimental phonograph. The attached needle indented a foil-covered wax cylinder, and then rode over the indentations to reproduce the sound.

Edison, hearing impaired from the age of 12 after a bout of scarlet fever, often referred to the phonograph as his favourite invention.
