MRS. THILL DIES IN LITTLE FALLS

Funeral services were conducted yesterday monring for Mrs. Appolonia Thill, for many years a resident of this community, who died Sunday at St. Gabriel's hospital in Little Falls. The rites were conducted at St. Mary's Catholic church with the Rt. Rev. Msgr. George Rauch officiating. Interment was made in the church cemetery. Following the death of her son, George, in 1953, Mrs. Thill went to Little Falls and resided at St. Otto's Home. Her death came as the result of complications attendant upon advancing years.

Mrs. Thill was the former Appolonia Bruder and was born June 22, 1872 in Germany. Five years later the family came to the United States and settled in this county, where she grew to womanhood. On Sept. 12, 1899, she was married at Browerville to Peter Thill. For many years they engaged in farming in the Reynolds area and after their retirement moved to this village. Mr. Thill died Sept. 3, 1950. Mrs. Thill was preceded in death by all but one of her children. A daughter, Modesta, died in infancy; a son, Henry, died Oct 27, 1933, and another son, George, died Jan. 29, 1953. Only survivor is a daugther, Mrs. Arthur Bruder of Iona. There are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
